Want to use David's piano music for your web site, indie film project, radio spot, wedding slide show or DVD project? For a license fee as small as $7.50 per song,
you can use David's music on most media projects royalty-free. If you're unfamiliar with David's work, you can sample much his music via the flash player to the right. Note that the license fees cover use of David's original music. If you want to use songs that are not David's original music, be sure to ask David about it by sending him an email at dnevue@rainmusic.com . Some songs may require additional licensing.
What this Royalty-Free License Covers:

Web Site Use: You get unlimited use of the licensed song on your web site provided that the song cannot be downloaded by your visitors (most people embed the music in flash to prevent this). You must also provide an obvious song credit to David with a link back to this web site. Something to the effect of... "The piano music you're hearing is courtesy of David
Nevue."
Limit: One song license per web site please. In other words, for two web sites using the same song, please purchase an additional license. The license is valid for the purchaser only and is non-transferable.

CD / DVD / Slide Show Use: So long as yours is a small, independent project (less than 100 copies manufactured), you can use the song(s) you license freely using our standard license fee of $7.50 per song. A credit should appear in the project as follows...

Film/Web Video Use: So long as yours is a small, independent project (ie a non-commercial project that won't appear on tv or in the theater), you can use the song(s) you license at a rate of $75.00 per song. A credit should appear in the project as follows...

For use of David's music in commercial film or television, Contact David at dnevue@rainmusic.com with the specifics for a quote. The license is valid for the purchaser only and is non-transferable.

On-Hold Music / Lobby Music: The license fee is $7.50 per song you wish to have in rotation for hold music. If you wish to use an entire album, the fee is $75.00 per album. Once a license is purchased, you can use David's music as "hold" music for as long as you want, without limitation, royalty-free. However, we do ask that your "agents" be instructed what the music is so that if a customer should ask "what music was that I heard" they can answer "piano music by David Nevue" and provide the customer
with the correct spelling of David's name.
Limit: One license per site please. For use in a second location, please purchase an additional license. The license is valid for the purchaser only and is non-transferable.

Radio Spots: You can use one of David's songs in your radio spot for $7.50 per spot if the spot is a limited run in a single market (playing for a month in one region, for example). To license a song for unlimited use or duration in a single radio market, the fee is $75.00. To license a song for national radio use in all markets, Contact David at dnevue@rainmusic.com with the specifics for a quote.
Limit: Due to radio broadcasting and webcasting regulations, this license only covers David's original songs. If you want to use a song that's not one of David's original tunes, contact David at dnevue@rainmusic.com for help with that. The license is valid for the purchaser only and is non-transferable.
What This License Doesn't Cover:

Mass Production or Distribution: Song(s) under this license agreement cannot be included in any commercial product that is mass produced (100 or more units). A product release of more than 100 units requires a different license. Contact David at dnevue@rainmusic.com with the specifics of your project for a quote.

Commercial Theater or Television Releases: Use of David's music in a theatrical film or television broadcast is not covered by this license. For use of David's music in commercial film or television, contact David at dnevue@rainmusic.com with the specifics
for a quote.

Adult Themes: Song(s) licensed cannot be included in projects that may be inappropriate for children (containing violence, profanity or nudity). If your project contains any of these elements, but you still feel the music is appropriate, please contact David at dnevue@rainmusic.com with the specifics.

Sharing, Trading, Downloading: Song(s) licensed cannot be redistributed, traded, made available for download, or otherwise transferred to anyone else. Nor can they be included in a project in that allows the end-customer to transfer the songs for personal use.

Reselling: Songs cannot be resold as songs. In other words, you can't license David's music, create your own CD or DVD of those songs, and resell it as your own product. That is a blatant copyright violation.
Other stipulations:

Note that when you license a song, you don't own it. You are licensing it for use. There is a legal difference in the copyright sense. If you purchase a CD, obviously you own the CD - but you don't own the copyright to the songs themselves.

These licenses are for David's original songs only. Use of cover songs that were not originally written by David may require additional licensing.

The songs you license cannot be the main content of your product (see #5 above). This license is designed to allow you to use David's music simply to compliment your existing product or project.

This license covers a single user only. It cannot be transferred to another party.
